No drivers license (or passport) for the Queen since they are given out in her name she can just declare herself allowed to drive or travel into other countries.

Technically Her Majesty doesn’t need one as they are her roads but she also learned to drive when they didn’t have licences as such, just a test.

I believe she learned to drive in an army ambulance when she was a mechanic.

The X-Type is pretty well known to be based on the Ford Mondeo, read any review of the car and it’s pretty much always gets brought up.

As for people living in the UK, they know Ford owned PAG for a long time, including Jaguar, Aston Martin and Range Rover. There are people in the UK that think Ford is British.

can you blame them? Starting with the Lotus Cortina, moving on to the Escort RS’s and the later Escort RS’s and the Focus RS’s and the Fiesta RS’s, hell, even the Gt40.... most of Ford’s best cars that aren’t a Mustang or an F150 were designed and/or built in Britain.

And I get why they chose the XF not the XE — Mercedes E — but I suspect the Queen might prefer the XE. Maybe even with a stick.
